|
|
Hi guys.
Mica powders aren't "metals" so to speak, are they? My understanding has always been that they are inert and non-reactive so I would classify them as non-metallic (as in make up, not sheen.)
"Metal" products would be things like metal leaf, real and imitation and Faux Effects Dutch Metal, etc... Things that can react with other products and/or tarnish.
Thanks for the input! |

For the most part, that's what I think, too. However, there are real metal powders that are so finely ground that they look and act like mica. I have some 23 K gold and some silver powders that are virtually indistinguishable from mica.
By the way, the cheapest place to buy colored mica powders are usually through cosmetics supply houses (since you brought up the makeup reference). |
