Just finished another great furniture class at Surfaces. It was the Cottage Class and was nice to see Tara again.
Ann (Pompeii Ann), I was surprised to learn that you owned a school in Cleveland I didn't know until tonight until reading the IDAL announcement.
It was a full class but a fun one as usual.
Thanks Rebecca, Bruce and Ashley!

Just wanted to second Flaux's comments about the class. Once again, awesome instructing and samples. It's always a pleasure to be at Surfaces; everyone is so helpful and the hospitality is great. Rebecca is always looking for new ways to use the products and trouble-shoot potential problems you may encounter on the jobsite. Pictures to come later.

I think the whole class had a great time and learned so much. Rebecca is most generous with her knowledge and their passion for this industry is inspiring.
Surfaces is a perfect space for learning- plenty of room. I would really encourage anyone considering taking on cabinets to study there. It was an eye opener!

Just finished a 2-day metallics class-whew! February and March have been great months for seeing "Old" Faux Forum Friends: Sue, Sandy, Tara and meeting new friends like Ann and Florian. Sass was able to join us for the metallics class and it was great to see her smiling face.
I will edit pictures of attendee samples tomorrow and post some from both classes.
Thanks again for everyone that could make the classes and I look forward to hearing about future jobs.
Rebecca

Surfaces is the best.....................the classes are well planned and great outlined notebooks to follow each and every step. The location is ideal for many as Kansas City is close to most.
Thanks a bunch !!! Say hi to Cooper for me.

Kathy, stop in for a visit. We are open 8-5 every weekday. It is fun to meet people you only know through Cyberspace. When people stay at our house, you really get a chance to relax and talk.
I think Ashley and I each pulled 2 finishes from the Metallic class to do in our homes and I started one of the Cottage finishes at the lake house. Will post when done.

Rebeccas' studio is huge and fully equipped. She actually STOCKS product!
I'm lucky because I live in KC. Not only is Rebecca perennially available to troubleshoot my (frequent) screw ups, but I also get to sneak into the back and see what magical stuff she's cooked up for her residential clients.
Recently, I saw this unbelievable cabinet metallic she was working on. Done in this amazing, warm pewter look. Fab! I felt like a groupie hanging around the spray booth.....
