Bonjour to everyone on the Faux Forum!
I join my wife Kyoko to send you all our very best wishes for the New Year 2009. May it be filled with peace, joy, abundance and unlimited possibilites.
We are also happy to announce the launching of our 5 months intensive and comprehensive program, "The Decorative Painter's Complete Course".
This program runs from September 29, 2008 up to February 13, 2009, and is offered as a complete package and also in module format - a student can either take the entire 5 months, or take one or two of the 3 modules offered: Wood graining and Imitation Marble (8 weeks); Ornaments and Moldings painted in Trompe-l'oeil (4 weeks); and Panoramics and Painted Murals (6 weeks).
We are delighted that an international set of students, from the US, UK, Belgium, France, and Japan, has joined us for this session. For them it's not only about learning the techniques of decorative painting, but a cultural experience as well. Our French students make sure that the 'non-French' discover the culinary specialties of the region, so our lunch breaks are quite animated as our international friends discover the wonderful array of cheeses, breads, pastries...as well as local customs and habits!
With only 6 more weeks to go, we are currently covering the 'perspective' part of this program. This section requires a lot of concentration, but it is such a fundamental base for all decorative painters that everyone is very focused!
Another exciting news!! Atelier Nadaï, has moved to a brand new studio in the town of Le Passage, located in the Lot et Garonne department (southwest of France). It is only 4 hours away from Paris by the high-speed train (TGV), or 1 1/2 hours away by car from Bordeaux.
If you're travelling nearby, please drop by to say hello! We'd love to show you around.
We look forward to seeing you all again, either in events in the US, or in the upcoming International Salon of Decorative Painters which will be in Bergamo, Itally this year!
Michel

Bonjour Michel,
Nice light in the workshop... it seems like a wonderful place!
Je ne manquerai pas de faire un détour si je passe dans le coin!
Good luck for 2009.

Thanks for all your kind and encouraging words!
5 months may seem long, but it actually passes by so fast, like lightening, especially when you're doing something you love.
We are also planning some great Master Classes for Summer 2009 - each one will be 2 weeks long. So I'll make sure that Kyoko puts together the info and keeps you all informed!
Have a great week!
A bientôt,
Michel
