Hey all! Miss being on the Faux Forum with my creative peeps Smile. Too much stuff in all directions, I'm riding the wave and holding on tight!

Here's my latest creation for a high-end photography studio: Innovative Images www.innovativeimagesphotos.com/

This was a fun and challenging project and was refreshingly different. Kurt, the owner/photographer, had a clear vision of what he wanted on his walls Smile.

I'd really love feedback on my balance, shading, overall look. Thanks all!

We're currently working on the next set of walls, so stay tuned.

... 'What's on your wall?' (I need a bumper sticker!).

Looks a little dark overall but could be the pix. Is he using the walls you're doing as back drops for his portraits? Nice job. Definitely organic.

Smile Thanks!!!

Yes, he's using this as a back-drop for photos. He wanted contrast with uneven/organic movement. I kept wanting to add more light in the middle and then went back to dark, it helped to walk away from it for a day.

Hey Susan!
Good to see you here! Glad you are busy...this will be a great backdrop for the photo studio.

Thanks Theresa! Smile Let's hope I'll stay busy with projects like this displayed in fantastic places such as 'Innovative Images Studio'!

Kurt was actually using this wall two days 'before' it was finished for one of his clients.

I had a question, but you answered it: I wondered if it was really darker at the edges or if that was the photo. I like that it is. Seems that would make a good backdrop. I really have no critique to add. I'm interested to see what other work you're doing for them.

Here's another custom sample for the next project (one's slightly darker than the other) ... 'Warehouse Walls' We'll see within the next couple of days if this is a go.

Of course the texture on sample is just an idea, they'll be larger areas without so much texture, more subtle looking.

Well, Kurt liked the texture and the darker version and so I started last Sunday and viola, it is done!

Creating unusual finishes has been a blast and a bit challenging. Hope you like it! It's what Kurt envisioned I'm happy to say since he gave me 4 pics to inspire me and told me what he liked from each one.

I left yesterday thinking I was done but wanted to wait until this morning for Kurt's wave of approval before cleaning up the space. Upon my arrival I was surprised to find that he had arrived early and was so excited that he had already cleaned everything up ... pulled tape, folded tarps, folded plastic, etc. It's always the best to have a happy client Smile.

It'll be fun to post some of the portraits Kurt creates with these backdrops, so stay tuned ...
