Just wondering if anyone can tell me if combining c500 satin finish with the Proceeds Matting Additive to get a flat finish is going to be a problem for a top coat on a glazed concrete range hood???
I did a sample and it looks great, nice and flat. But what about for the long haul?? _________________ CAROL B |

I don't know anything about the chemical compatibility of these two products so I won't even attempt to comment on that.
I have used both of these products separately. The C-500 is very durable.
If you have a sample and it has cured, try doing an overkill cleaning/scouring test. Anything that might actually happen. Splatter tomato sauce on it, allow to sit for a day. See if it soaks in.
I have a kitchen countertop that I did with an RS Crete finish, sealed it with C-500. It has held up beautifully for years EXCEPT for last fall when I put unripe tomatos on my counter for a few days to allow them to ripen and now I have yellow spots where each tomato sat. I have tried everything to remove the stains and nothing works. And the tomatos were not leaking juice or anything. |
