Just finished these doors yesterday , very wide doors 32" , my customer looked into getting them replaced but the cost of new ones plus getting a joiner to fit them & lets not forget varnishing was going to be to much for her budget , she has'nt seen them yet, I'm going around tomorrow to hang them , hopefully she will be delighted ....i certainly enjoyed doing them !..

Love your style...the detail to knot holes and heart graining. She will love them.

I bet she'll even like the visual joke of them MORE than if she had them made for real. I can already see her showing them off and then asking her guests to touch them to verify that they are NOT panel doors.

Nice Job... and a good story, which will be worth even more to her.

Thanks everyone for all the nice compliments!
I'm glad to say she was extremley pleased with her new look doors, & the trompe molding went down very well , although it was very basic, hoping to learn more about this later this year will keep you posted , took a couple of pics of the doors back in place although the light & quality of my photography is not good..!

Thanks guys
Went back today to help my customer put up some pictures its been a beautiful day up here in the highlands of Scotland sunshine all day, her living room was so bright with natural light pouring in , i thought it an opportunity to take some more pics as the previous ones where a bit dark, only one really turned out but it does show the true colour so much better.
Brian don't worry i know you have been busy so looking forward to hearing about your trip,i bet you had an amazing time ..
