So word has it Rolco isn't shipping any more? Is this true. I am unable to get it from Sepp and I heard that the latest batch whitens. Curious to here what anyone else has heard and what they think would be a good substitute.

drat! i heard bruce had a big big problem with their topcoat recently. i know it cannot be allowed to get too cold or it separates, and even if you get it mixed back up it fogs. so if the weather is bad it's pointless to ship it. from what i hear nobody on the east coast has any to sell.

easy leaf in LA has some available but shipping it back to the east coast you run the risk of it getting too cold unless you send it by air. ka-ching.

i suppose golden MSA is a possibility, but wow, it's pricey. the main issue is finding an affordable topcoat that you can use over aquasize.

if you are using oil size you can topcoat with either shellac or defthane, but on a large ceiling i'd prefer to use aquasize.

They may just not be shipping in the winter, because frozen product is often ruined product.

The Golden is a good substitute but you should do 2-3 coats. Its a thinner mix than Rolco.

I have some satin I could sell you but wouldn't know how to get it there with out it freezing...wrap it in a battery powered electric blanket? But then it may be thought of as a bomb! Anywho, I can get some to you if you are desperate.
